Ooh I was just thinking about this earlier. When I was around 20 years old (so, 2010ish) I bought a 1979 Ford F-150 off of my boss at the time. I absolutely loved that truck to death. It had a modest 4” lift kit and 35” Micky Thompson Baja Claw rubbers. It also had a propane conversion kit installed on the 351m so it was cheap as chips to run. I wheeled that thing to death (literally… it died after being flipped over an embankment with me and my buddies inside. No one got hurt somehow, thanks solid steel frame!)
If I ever win the lotto (which I won’t cause I don’t even play) I’m gunna buy a house with a garage big enough so I can rebuild the same truck. It’s gunna be expensive, especially because I live in Europe now, and even more so extremely impractical, but hey, a guy can dream, no?
I’m not Turkish, or trans, but I am a Canadian who left the country and will likely never move back. All of your concerns regarding my country are unfortunately valid, life is oppressively expensive there.
But your English is excellent, “fuck me sideways” made me chuckle as that’s a very natural expression in colloquial Canadian. Don’t give up, you’re young and the world is your oyster. If you have a Canadian passport, maybe look into some of the youth mobility visas that are available for Canadians under 30. Most commonwealth countries, and many European nations, take part in the program.
Guilty as charged. I knew Lt.Dan was likely a bot, but his (it’s?) questions were interesting and engagement seemed high so I said fuck it and responded anyway.
In my experience, nouns and verbs are generally strictly separate concepts in Romance languages, making this not viable, although there are exceptions.
Agreed. It’s meant to be an insult making fun of the basic nature of British cuisine, but I for one sometimes find the French classics overly rich and complicated. Who doesn’t enjoy a hearty roast, especially on a cold winter evening.
N’importe quoi… the French (outside of Paris and the major touristy bits) are not excellent at English.
Source: I live in France, and my mother tongue is English. I had no choice but to learn French very quickly in order to communicate. The idea that they are merely too proud to speak English is an old wives tale, their education system is just very outdated and la francophonie is large enough that they never need English in order to go about their daily lives, which is not the case for many smaller European countries.
However, I will admit that attempts to poke fun at the English (specifically the UK, or as they like to call them, “les rosbifs,”) are heartily appreciated.
Ugh, this one drives me nuts, and I absolutely refuse to say ‘talkie-walkie.’ It’s even more funny because I’ve seen several boxes for 2-way radios in France that had the correct order of words in the description… The French are just so bad at English that it doesn’t matter.
Native English speaker who learned French to a high (B2-C1) level as an adult here: not even a little bit, and any parts that you think you got the gist of are likely misunderstood.
I'm almost there, except every once in a blue moon I come across a website or service (usually gov't related) that refuses to take my proton.me address.

100%.
I used to run, but on my bike I can do 10x the kilometers, burning way more calories, and with very little knee pain or general soreness.
The Patriot should invest in a proper metal blade for that reciprocating saw.

Number 6, I was an ice cream sandwich kinda kid. Number 3 if I wanted to change it up, because it lasted a long time.

Baguette and Saint Marcellin, or Mont d’Or, or even Tomme de Brebis.

KFC is terrible in France. Then again, so is McDonalds, and both are waaay too expensive for what you get.
I actually prefer Burger King here, which is something cause in the states it’s… not great.

Si, il y a des contrôles partout dans les coin, c’est affreux.
It’s called having kids.
English, with custom key bindings for accents etc. Mostly because I hate AZERTY with a passion.
So... The Clone Wars??
I mean, one must admit that a 4 CD set of traditional Turkmenistan folk music does sound pretty sweet.
Just get a power supply, problem solved.
