Schwann's is (was?) a frozen food delivery service. They'd have a big ass freezer truck that they'd drive through the neighborhood making deliveries, and you would get a big catalogue of options to choose from. It was essentially a curated frozen foods section of the supermarket on wheels, and they had some really good stuff.
No idea if they are still around, I certainly don't see the trucks anymore.
Oh! Its typically called "strawberry shortcake" or something along those lines. Its a slightly tart and sweet strawberry ice cream center, with a creamy outer layer, covered in a yummy similarly flavored breading crumbles.
the company exists just as a frozen foods company, but is now owned by a south korean conglomerate. when schwans was sold to cj in 2019, the home delivery business was spun-off and still owned by the family. it later went out of business, not long after an absolutely horrible rebrand.
I once got hired under the table to help unload a Schwann's freezer trailer one night and was compensated with a cooler full of product of my own choosing at cost. The markup on the items was insane, my household ate for weeks off that.
Those character ones were always malformed mutants never meant to see the light of day. I got my daughter a Sonic ice cream bar and she said it gave her nightmares. I am being serious, and I find it as funny now as I did back then.
20 or 22, I'm easily fooled, had a Sega Genesis and TMNT bedsheets.
That said, we were too poor to get anything most of the time. We were at a park because it's free, I mean c'mon. (And before you ask, no, the Genesis was a gift from a guy who wanted to fuck my mom. Lol)
6, but if i was a kid i probably would pick something 17-24. On another topic idk if anyones had #6 lately but shrinkflation hit this HARD over the past 10 years...
You had me with the candy cigarettes. I've had the push pop things (they were like a sorbet right? Or something creamier idk, I just remember fruity) but the cigarettes are a something my mom talks about.
Standard Bomb Pops didn't have gum inside, though some varieties probably did. The Bomb Pops is constantly making little variations on their popsicles, probably too many IMO.
Aye, it's probably closes to the american soft serve, a flake is just the most well named chocolate of all time, because all it does is crumble into flakes lol
I don't understand the point of this post. It's like asking "what's your choice of answers for 1+1".
When you go to the grocery store, you get whatever.
You go to an ice cream shop, you always get the ones shaped like your favorite character.
Ice cream truck, you get a rocket. Unless you are a head injury victim.
I'm calling out OP for setting us up for something. I don't like it.
Essentially life saver flavored (each color one similar to the standard life saver color flavors) and a crappy frozen gumball on top. The bomb pops were larger for the same price, so I always felt they were superior.
