I finished the first three books of the Red Rising series and well I’m sure I will come back to it. I wanted to switch things up a little bit so now I’m onto T. Kingfisher’s Hemlock and Silver.
Finished the first trilogy of Red Rising, and enjoyed it. I’ll probably come back and read more of the books in the future, but I needed to break it up a little bit I’m on to T. Kingfisher’s Hemlock & Silver
I finished the first book and am near the end of Golden Son. The writing does feel pretty YA focused in the tropes it uses and the structure, but overall I do enjoy the story.
Been traveling with kids the last week and through the end of this one so it’s been tough to read. Trying to get through the entire rest of the Ransom Riggs Peculiar Children series so I can start Red Rising.

Have you read Psalm for the Wild Built by Becky Chambers? It’s a duology that are quite short but very thoughtful/ thought provoking and sweet.

Thankfully, I have a pretty high tolerance for sub-par writing if the story is good.
Whereas, I have DNFed a few books where the prose is florid and beautiful, but the story is banal or underdeveloped.
