I'm not sure but you can look "tortellini". You can find them both dry and fresh. But the bigger ones I only find them fresh, not dry. So I suppose it's not possible to safely dry them if they're big. But again the fresh ones are sold in "modified atmosphere packaging" that allow quite a long shelf life (refrigerated).
You could make the noodles then boil them fresh, and often people buy noodles fresh to do so because yes, it tastes fresher.
It's not only a matter of freshness, but also of texture. Moreover pasta fresca (non-dried pasta, I don't know if that has a specific name in English) is oftentimes made with eggs (pasta all'uovo) or with a different kind of flour than dried pasta.
There are so many variables that you can't just say "it tastes better because it's fresher": it tastes differently because it's a different process for a different purpose!
And that's why I love pasta and noodles in general: a lot of cultures have taken the same three ingredients and combined them slightly differently to produce wildly different results! Ain't that amazing??? ❤️

Yeah chickens are as funny as they are dumb! I was once working at a friend's farm. She has a henhouse nearby where we were working, and the chickens were there doing chicken stuff very close to their house.
At a certain point I was digging and hoeing and stuff, minding my own business. At a certain point I felt like I was observed, I turned my head and I saw that I was surrounded by the chickens. They looked at me like "oiii mate, nice dirt you have right there! i reckon there's plenty of earthworms to be found eeeeh?" I started laughing because those chickens all day didn't pay attention to me not even for a second. But as soon as I moved a little bit of dirt they came running!! Not even when I fed them they ran so fast!!!
Another time one of the chickens managed to jump over the roof of their house. We don't know how she did it. The point is that she didn't know how to get back. We tried to help her but she was scared. We tried everything but it looked like there was no hope. In the end we had to put a little feed on the roof so that she was busy eating, and I was able to catch her and rescue her.
They are little goblins with very small brains but they are really cute and entertaining!
About working on something you hate? Yeah, I get it. I work also as a programmer and I hated every moment I had to dig up someone else's C/AL code (proprietary Microsoft ERP coding language).
See, the thing is that I don't care about stuff like that. The problem is management.

I need good managers to function well and it's been two years now that management is shit. I'm at a point where just the thought of opening the IDE makes me sick. About FOSS yeah, I just host my stuff on codeberg (joined cuz of the anti ai stuff) and make my own shit for anyone to see, did a couple commits for some other projects but I'm very into doing my own thing and I'm basically self-taught so my code ain't the best.
Oh so we are in a similar position. I've created lots of tools that were useful to me (and I think only to me in the world) and released them as foss, but I've never contributed code to a big foss project. I want to but I just never did.
Oh yeah, we wouldn't be having this convo on some place that blocked me for my gender/sexuality. Anytime a community like that graces my feed I block it shortly after.
Don't get me wrong, they have their own reasons for doing that on the subreddit, and I think they have a right to do it -- for example an AA meeting is not the place for a non-alcoholic. But at the same time, being too close of a group leads to radicalisation, and that group is radical. Some things may start as a joke, but then some people start believing them... it can be dangerous...
