Basically... I have and always have had few friends. Some of them I can only see a few times a year because they live far away...
I rarely go out, unless it's for a reason and it's usually a situation where you don't meet new people (groceries, cinema, bureaucracy, ...).
But for me it's not a problem: i love being alone! It just means for me it's very unlikely to meet new people and even more unlikely to find a significant other!
(and yes I love messing with my computer(s), bedrottimg, playing some videogames and all that femcel stuff 😏)

Yeah... and covid made it worse, because for the first time in my life during lockdown I could live the life I wanted, and it was normal, but then it ended and I still struggle to get back to "normality"...

About FOSS yeah, I just host my stuff on codeberg (joined cuz of the anti ai stuff) and make my own shit for anyone to see, did a couple commits for some other projects but I'm very into doing my own thing and I'm basically self-taught so my code ain't the best.
About working on something you hate? Yeah, I get it. I work also as a programmer and I hated every moment I had to dig up someone else's C/AL code (proprietary Microsoft ERP coding language).

Don't get me wrong, they have their own reasons for doing that on the subreddit, and I think they have a right to do it -- for example an AA meeting is not the place for a non-alcoholic. But at the same time, being too close of a group leads to radicalisation, and that group is radical. Some things may start as a joke, but then some people start believing them... it can be dangerous...
