Hi,

WMs are not built to ship a complete desktop experience. Their entire design philosophy is that you tweak them to your liking and build your own desktop environment by putting together various utilities to achieve your needs. However, some projects try to resolve that by shipping a preconfigured environment that will fit most needs.

Feel free to look at this repo that has pre configured utilities:

Alternatively, you may interested in some sort of all in one utility that just does many things at once, in which case something like dank material shell might be more up your alley. Arch provides a meta package (iirc dank-material-hyprland or something like that, best to check your pkg mgr db before installing).

The closer we get to release the less interested I become: it fucking sucks because GTA pretty much defined me, I played every r* game (yes even the table tennis) and I’ve had a lot of fun doing it. But now.. base game is $80 but if you want the full experience shell out $100, no PC release, no disc for consoles for those who wish to avoid the console ecosystem, paywalling ads, multiplayer not included (there’s a rumor we will have to shell out an additional 10-30 bucks for online). Fuck that. I knew they’d be greedy about it, after all it’s the biggest piece of entertainment in the history of entertainment but you don’t have to be a dick about it.

Steam has a splash screen with ads whenever you open the launcher, I don’t have a console but I assume Xbox/PS/NSW2 also have some sort of advertisements. If the ads bother you that much, you can use innoextract instead of running their installer.
