Aside from wasting money on rent, it’s control. If you can hit you KPI’s and you have more time in the day, they want to be able to pile on additional work. It’s harder for them to do that if they’re not breathing down your neck
Science fiction usually tries to stick to realism to a degree in how it uses futuristic tech and ideas. George Lucas didn’t really try to do that. He always called it a space opera
Your story is worse but I hade one kinda similar. We have a guy that is normally 10-15 minutes late. Not a huge deal for us. We’re all friends outside of DnD and he’s there within reason but he’s the most likely to bow out and force a cancel.
Our DM confirms a week out then the couple days leading up. He’s late and I ask “what’s up?” In discord. He replies “I’m having an issue” with no follow up. We wait 20 minutes then I ask if we should call it and he said yes so we didn’t play after sitting there for an hour.
I talked with a mutual friend and she said he was fighting with his wife that night. I get that shit like that happens but it seems really reasonable to me to just say tonight’s not the night early and not make us wait an hour
I’m close to infinite so I’ve been focusing on that but it seems ok. It’s kinda weird to play so many games and know each others decks. It will be awesome for getting to know new builds and not sacrifice your climb though
I heard the Reddit is Fun dev is planning on either joining a project or doing a new one for Lemmy. I heard it here somewhere so I don’t know much other than that
I haven’t seen it done but it won’t work. Cards can only move if they have somewhere to move. It’s like trying to use Polarus or Magneto on a full lane
Yeah. I had him saved and just got enough tokens but decided it would be boring and held off. So glad I did. It only works now in very specific circumstances
For real. Alien Blue was so good. Then they killed it and made the shittiest app possible. I truly believe if their app was good that the backlash wouldn’t be as bad

Yeah the value is terrible. 1k credits you can get in like a week by doing all of the challenges

I’ll be real. I miss it for very specific subs. It’s definitely more toxic but small game subs and stuff like that I miss

I think centralization is popular cuz it’s simple. It’s a lot easier to figure out one login for Reddit or IG than all the different instances
