The MPAA really is grasping for straws aren't they. Ever since people were able to stream movies during the pandemic and found it was a much cheaper more enjoyable experience, they have been trying to invent ways to drive people back to the theaters.
Now they are suffering major block buster busts and they have to point the finger at someone so they think, "it's those darn Reddit pirates!"
Its funny that they don't realize they caused their own demise. But really I wonder, why specifically 2011?
I like it most because I can't and don't feel the need to doom scroll. I just check in every once in a while during the day and post here and there and upvote bunches of posts and comments and then I am out. Plus I don't feel that my comments will be attacked and downvoted for no good reason.
Good luck. This is my favorite instance so I will be eagerly awaiting. Lemmy has been incredible and strangely what I needed. I would doom scroll reddit and see the same posts and the same comment chains and just redundancy hell.

Book 3 of Mistborn, The Hero of Ages. Really loving it so far, book 2 took it's sweet time though.
I will never give up my 3 on 4 off in the hospital. It's long sometimes but damn does 4 days off feel good.

That is awesome. Finally servers are being paid a livable wage and not reliant on tips. Good on the south park boys proud of my home town.
