And yeah, not sure if we can ever fully trust such an AI (actually maybe humans as well?) so reviewing and supervision will be necessary.
Someone on Reddit mentioned something fun. These people are the people that just cheat their way through life and through succes, maybe thinking it's smart instead of cheating. Then they get at a position of power, and suddenly there are actual stakes and you can't just cheat your way through it all, and you just suck at it. But your colleagues or partners who also helped get you where you are also cheat so your kinda stuck? Or we are stuck with them, prolly put it better.
Hypothetical situation: if the government were just theoretically 100% ethical and secure with the data they gathered, would be that make it OK?

Not so sure if there are zero downsides. Just as in some corners of the modelling world there is more-often-than-negligible some shady stuff going on.
