I believe the intention behind it clicking the ads is so that its harder for the ad companies like google and whatnot to get accurate information on you. If all the ads are getting interest from you then they won't know which ones you'd actually be interested in. I don't use this but I think the ad vault is just the extension showing you what the ad companies think you're interested in.
