I'd rather the app stays as it is and doesn't show new windows or randomly move about stuff because new updates. Modern crunch with constantly changing the UI and hiding everything isn't helpful for elder relatives
Installed mint for an elderly relative that only uses it for YouTube and email, the only calls I get are when mozzila stops working because the version is too old
I think they just never were that relevant, probably because the first one was too RPG and not enough action game for the average public to form a cult following around. Still amazing games that are well worth bringing and nerding over
The original mass effect trilogy. I know they're very mainstream but no one talks about them anymore and I must have like 5k hours between the 3 games.
Perfect winter break games for just diving in and doing 20 hour long play sessions
I was surprised how effective it was for getting a checklist of things I should do to get a car that hasn't been running for 30 years back on the road and asking for instructions for each step and things I should keep in mind
Outside of that it's become a Google replacement for software development questions
You do kinda have to know about the things you ask it about so you can spot when it's bullshiting you
Lemmy is a giant echo chamber, every time I browse for a bit I block a community/user or two. And don't you dare have a differing political opinion to that of the hive mind.
It's not really a good reddit replacement but if like me you don't want to install the official reddit app lemmy can be some sort of nicotine patch if you take the time to block all the shit you don't want to see

I do recommend the legendary edition, the graphics updates are actually good. You still need to add a few choice mods but it was a good remaster
