There's some information about how they are using that money, but it doesn't seem like they've spent much, and it makes me feel like they've got funding from somewhere else that covers their hosting costs.
They can can only do that once per type of budget bill, per year. And since they can't stand not getting what they want, they obviously had to use it the first chance they got.
Any hardware or tool store will have some. The only place you'd have to worry about getting fakes from are online stores. But even then I'd imagine it's pretty rare given how cheap the real ones are.

No where does it say that consumers should be required to do these things. Just that if the only end of life possibility for a product is the land fill, then we should restrict it's manufacturing. Obviously there would need to be exceptions for things like medical needs or accessibility accomodations.

I think some of y'all are missing a lot of packaging use cases other than food. But even in the food sector, there are dry things like pasta, beans, and rice that don't have salt in them. If it really is as strong as a petroleum plastic for these items, it could eliminate tons of micro plastic.
