on cops are not workers · c/mop · 1 pts · 142d

That's not true, cops are the physical enforcers of the laws written by politicians sold to the capital system and, as such, they tend to profit from the value stolen from the working class in benefit and salaries which are always paid during difficult times. You could see that during the pandemic, when doctors and nurses had their pays suspended but police forces did not missed a single month of pay. Furthermore defense spending is (for most of contemporary states) one of the few budget voices always rising and never shrinking. Cops are scum and I don't intend to see scum as a fellow worker. If you disagree with me answer this question: would you prefer to sit at a table with a firefighter or a cop? If the answer is a firefighter ask yourself why and then come back to this post

Thank you for your service, I really appreciate the time you took out of your own day to complie such a rigorous and clear reply to the misconceptions presented during our discussion. I'm sorry if I used an harsh tone in my replies but, even if I appreciate it in other contexts, stubbornness in the face of truth make it really difficult for me to maintain my composure.

I'll follow your wise advice and I'll be going my own way now, if anybody wants to further discuss this topic they can start by revising your exhaustive reply by trying to bring factual counterarguments.

Godspeed comrade, until we'll meet again

These were people who were ready to sacrifice their safety and security to descend into the streets and to manifest against the Chinese dictatorship. Who knows how many other people were against China but, at the same time, were too fearful to be in the streets when the Chinese did show how violent they could be against demonstrators?

Here in Italy the majority of people are against founding Israel in its genocide against Palestine, yet we had no protest with 25 + millions people on the street. At most we reached a million. But this does not prove that we Italian are on the side of the Israeli government, it just shows how many among us are ready to sacrifice their time to let their voices be heard

It would be nice if you were to read the sources you use to maintain your fairytale

Fighting has escalated in Ukraine’s eastern region of Donbas amid Russia’s recent, unprecedented military build-up along its border with Ukraine. The Special Monitoring Mission of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) reported a significant increase in ceasefire violations in conflict-affected areas along the line of contact on February 17.

And also

The shelling of a school, a kindergarten, and residential areas along the line of contact in eastern Ukraine on February 17, 2022, apparently by Russia-backed armed groups, injured civilians and damaged civilian infrastructure, Human Rights Watch said today. The attacks, which injured at least four civilians, severely damaged or destroyed several homes

Peaceful russians being ethnically cleansed or an invading force being defended against? Get down from your ivory tower dude, Russia has started this war and only Russia can stop it, if it wanted to

Have you ever tried to go to North Korea for a vacation? I guess not, otherwise you would know that they do whatever they can to stop people from visiting. And if you are stubborn enough to be able to complete the absurd process required you still won't be able to go around by yourself, you'll be constantly followed by their police preventing you to make contacts outside the perimeter they have set up for you. Is this the behaviour of a benevolent government or is this the behaviour of a dictatorship working as hard as it can to hide their atrocities? I guess the testimonies of those who fled that place have no value since they must be paid by the West, as always when someone says something against your worldview.

Also Tibetans should be free to live as they wish and should not be forced to fled the countryside because the Chinese need low-paid employees for their industry. That's not a free choice, that's a state policy imposed on the people by force via the cancellation or refuse to issue passport to Tibetans residents which has limited their ability to move on their own land

So 1.7 million people protesting against the Chinese government are a minority of the population? Your delusion is reaching unseen boundaries, please tell me more about how peaceful and respectful of minorities is the Chinese government

Wouldn't you know, the link to the supposed OCSE report in reality opens a blog page from an uncredited source which does not contain itself any reference to the report you cited. Talk about sources and facts, eh?

Moreover, how many of the victims of this pre-war conflicts were caused by the little green men paid by the Kremlin? I guess you haven't asked yourself this question as it might clash with the alternative reality you live in to justify the russian invasion of Ukraine. Invasion that was not going to happen if we had listened to the russian who ammassed an invading force on Ukraine borders shortly before February 2022 but who then went on for weeks to reiterate that these troops and vehicles were there just for exercising and would habe never been used to invade Ukraine. There are some truth tellers among the russians, that's for sure

Also, you keep talking about slaughter in Ukraine even if I already shown you that under 10 people per year were casualties of the internal war brought forward by the little green men paid by the Kremlin. You are still avoiding this fact and continue to press the button of ethnic cleansing even if there are no wires attached to it as if it were your Linus blanket. Grow up and face the facts, please

And please tell me, how can you radicalise an entire people to the point where they are ready to put their lives on the line for the ideals you presented them with? Couldn't it be that these people share those same ideals while rejecting the ones being forcefully placed on themselves by what they see as a dictatorship? No, of course not, they are just all stupid and brainwashed I'm sure will be your answer. More projecting from someone who, as I already said, should have worked in a cinema

Lmao, trusting the report coming from Russia and China about how is fairing the north Korean society is wild. Why don't they accept people from other parts of the world and why, when someone can access their state, this person is not allowed to interact with people without having policemen around? Must be because they have nothing to hide, for sure. If you're interested I've got a bridge to sell you XD

So the forced movement of people from the Tibetan countryside to the inner cities has no bearing on their way of life, which was a nomadic one? How is integration carried out when a custom directly contradicts the mandates from the party?

I wonder why it is so difficult to find information about any issue in the DPRK, such a paradise on earth should be more open to disclose its inner working to the world... It's very strange if someone think about it for more than 20 seconds, but this doesn't seem to be a concern of your it would seem.

So if the Chinese bar Tibetans from speaking their language and living their lives according to their customs while also forcing their youth to attend sino-centric schools is progress, but if Ukraine ask its russian citizens ti use Ukrainian as a language when talking with the state is ethnic cleansing. Got it

Why did the riots died down? Was it a decision by the people or had the Chinese state step in to crack down the manifestations by force? Have you seen the images of Chinese police attacking protestors and people?? Are you selectively blind?

And where are the rest of the people who helped this wrong insurrection against the Chinese government?? Millions of people rallying against China but they're still the good guys. Keep telling yourself that you're right and everybody else is wrong, you'll be always right

Directly cited from the report you presented:

According to Li Minyan, a Chinese LGBT advocate and law student at Northwestern University, social pressure to marry someone of the opposite sex is overwhelming, and many LGBT individuals do so and lead a double life. Others enter into marriages of convenience where lesbians and gay men marry each other to escape this pressure. Despite this outward tolerance, a report about the situation facing LGBT people and civil society in China issued by the United Nations and the U.S. government last year flagged a host of serious problems. Chinese LGBT people lack legal protections from discrimination at work and in housing, there is no recognition accorded to same-sex couples, LGBT individuals cannot adopt children, same-sex rape is not a criminal offense and stigma and discrimination are rampant.

Look into the situation with the RPK and then return to me to present your findings, I'm sure homosexual people are living their best lives alongside Kim.

The "development" of Tibet has been mainly enjoyed by the Han people who flicked into the region after its conquest by China. Original Tibetans are still living in the same economical conditions as 100 years ago but in an even worse society as they are seen as "inferior" because they are not of Han origin. But this behaviour is not the behaviour of an imperialist country in your eyes, so everything is fine and don't question authorities

So, in your view, a single man can sway an entire people to follow his ideals without any issue? My my, he must be a master of deception, maybe Loki himself. You're as unserious as the legal processes in dictatorships

Ah yes, the massive protests seen in 2019 were all brought by the capitalists™️, no worker did partake with the millions people marching in the streets.

Do you realise how unserious you sound???

Syrange that you are on the same page of Carlson and Bannon on this very specific topic without any concern whatsoever. But you do you, if you're happy to share the same table as those two more power to you.

I didn't ask you to list Chinese LGBTQ members, I asked you to list laws and rules brought on by the party which have improved the LGBTQ situation in China. Can you cite at least one law going in this direction or not?

People are naturally gay, we don’t choose to be gay at higher ratios in more welcoming environments.

But people are more open to be seen as LGBTQ in welcoming environments or do you think an LGBTQ person will be ready to accept his own sexuality in, say for example, North Korea?

How is it not imperialist to conquer a nation and the starting to use its land for your own profit? Have you ever heard of the mining industry flourishing after the Chinese invasion? And what about the hydropower facilities built in this land? Where did all the extracted resources and the produced energy go? If they didn't go to Tibetans, as they went to china, how is this not imperialist according to your beliefs?
