I hear you on the frustration with the errors and the Billet Labs situation; those were legitimate issues. But I think there's a difference between holding someone accountable and writing them off permanently.

The thing is, LMG did take concrete steps after the GN video:

  • They paused uploads for a week
  • Established an error-checking team (ECC squad)
  • Have been building out their lab infrastructure (their PSU testing and articles can be really neat)

Are they perfect now? No. But if we don't acknowledge when people/companies make genuine efforts to improve, what's the incentive for anyone to try?

I'm not saying you have to watch LTT or trust everything they say. But the "his opinion literally means nothing to me" stance feels pretty absolute for a situation where they've at least attempted course correction. Most of us have professional screw-ups we've learned from. I think the question is whether the response was adequate, not whether mistakes disqualify someone forever.

Only reason I have Facebook is Facebook marketplace. Would love for some to create a alternative. Craigslist and OfferUp are nice, but the Facebook algorithm is more like local ebay. It might not tell me the most recent stuff or make it easy to sort by category, but it's awesome at giving me recommendations.

This seems super cool. I'll have to look into this more later and see how I could use this with my infrastructure

For email, I recommend purelymail. It's ran by one guy I believe, but it's a solid cheap service. It's also pretty easy to setup your own email domains. I'm probably just a nerd, but I love custom email domains.

As someone who thinks tomatoes are vegetables, I would eat more tomatoes like apples if they didn't give me canker sores every time.

The rule I always heard was older_age/2+7. In this case, 51 would give you a rough range of 32-88.

30 might be a little weird, but just depends how you guys gel
