The reputation usually mostly recovers when there's a Democrat in the WH, but since American voters walked right back into the same chaos again, eyes wide open, it's going to be a lot harder to recover this time around. There's just very little trust and credibility left.
Not being defeatist, just a realist. Judges don't matter when SCOTUS is in Trump's pocket. Republicans know they have these two years to dismantle the government and set it back decades while they have literally all the power. They have everything they need to get it done.
