If you don't mind me asking, why is it that some posts on mealtimevideos are still visible to me? The newest one I can see while viewing from here is from 9 days ago. I'm assuming this is a quirk of how defederation works, but not sure how exactly.
Let's be real it's already okay for LLM companies steal anything and everything, they just don't say it out loud.
A bunch of them were proven to have pirated, but suffered no consequences then, probably won't in the future.

Like which major instaces am I defederatd from (again, don't really care about any particular instances, just the accessibility of any major subreddit equivalents that are hosted there - dunno what they're called in lemmy)
While you're at it could you also recommend a good instance to migrate to? Ideally a populated one that doesn't get involved in this left right communist capitalist bullshittery too much.
I use lithium. The free version has some limitations like not being able change the app to darkmode (although from what I remember the pages of the book itself can be changed to white/sepia/dark even in the free version). It has cross-device progress sync too, but I can't remember if it was there in the free version). Worked well enough for me. Decided to get the pro version after a couple of years cause I had been using it a lot and didn't have any gripes with the app. (Look for it in mobilism if you don't want to pay for the pro version)
Mostly communities for specific games. Like Destiny, Forza, Deep Rock Galactic, and that taboo anime game. I also miss the fanart communities. Hopefully these will grow here too over time, but who knows.
Yes, multi-reddit. Although in the official and 3rd party apps those were called custom feeds. I like having posts from all communities related to a specific topic in one place.
That's not quite what I meant. I'd like to group the communities I subscribed to based on topics and see posts from one set of related communities in one place. For instance, if there were communities related to piracy, I'd be able to group them together and see posts from those communities in one place, and have another group of communities related to music and be able to see posts from those communities in another place. Like you can see in the screenshots
Hello, new reddit refugee here. I've been hearing about the fediverse and mastodon some time now. Heard about lenny a couple of months ago, but didn't feel the need to make an account at the time. With the dumpfire that's going on it reddit I figured it was high time I jumped ship.
I have a question that might sound stupid. Is there a way to get the same functionality as reddit's custom feeds in lemmy? Where you have multiple feeds that are "subscribed" to different sets of communities.

More than anything else, I'm going to miss the easy access to reliable answers by appending reddit to whatever I'm searching for in Google
