Hey, seriously thank you for the contribution and the time you put into this. The modal/navbar additions fit the vibe of the page perfectly and the code was clean and easy to work into the project. I really appreciate you helping improve the site and contributing to the overall experience.
Sorry that its taken me as long as it has to respond. i dont check my lemmy often.
I added a thank-you/credit because people like you genuinely help make projects like this better. Much appreciated <3
Always nice to see you post. I understand what you mean, at least to an extent, about how things have changed as the site has grown. I’m part of the group that came in around 2023, and the scene definitely feels different now.
I’ve had to change so much stuff on my own main gen because I somehow became a target for persistent trolls. It honestly drains the fun out of things sometimes. More than once I’ve wanted to just delete the page and move on.
But the users who visit my pages and are genuinely decent people always remind me why I keep going. Even with all the frustration that comes from dealing with jerks, it still makes me happy knowing that something I made was enjoyed by someone else.
Cheers for what was, and for what’s still to come. I hope you’re able to find that spark again with your new projects, whatever they may be.
used to do this long time back, i keep the images each time that it happens and i see it. i am possibly wrong, i think this is part of the denoise process and its just faults out or something maybe early in the process from a variable of factors and the resulting images are just as far as the process made it along.
You are awesome Allo. Thank you for being good people.
I’m honestly terrible at most of the things I do, but I’ve noticed on one of the AI chat sites I visit from time to time. There’s an event system that focuses mostly on seasonal flavors, major calendar holidays, and similar occasions. Because it’s an AI chat site, users often create characters that connect to the current theme in some way.
It seems to be popular, which made me think: maybe a character-creation event could exist on a perpetual rotation. The goal would be to streamline things and keep it simple for whoever has to maintain or update it regularly. I’ve seen that you’re considering a character jam, and what I’m getting at is that this could function similarly. Most of the structure for the event's could be created in advance, making ongoing maintenance easier.
This would provide users with a consistent, recurring event and, over time, something they come to expect. That familiarity and simplicity could help reach more people overall.
Some issues i think are hindering events:
1, I don’t see them advertised. (it may list the event when on the generators page but perhaps if the events become streamlined and are made to be a reoccurring aspect of the community they could be set to show at the top of the page like in the photo i have attached)
2, They’re hosted off-site. (i think this is a small thing, but for example with your image contest. i think if users didn't have to leave the site and go to lemmy that there would a larger group of participants.)
3, They’re beyond the scope of the average user. (By that last point, I mean most users primarily generate AI images or chats, so more complex generator-based events often fail to get attention.)
i wonder if there could be some fun way to get users into learning about perchance and all the things that can be done on it as i think a lot of the traffic is just people who ai image gen stuff, and miss the vast library of other amazing gens there are. im sorta rambling now so Anyway, thank you for all the work you do. I hope some of this is useful. If you ever need help and there’s something within my ability to contribute to, I’d be happy to try.
rud so i think that this is result of one of a few things, either she was blocked by so many people that she has been shadowed or she is trying to use a vpn channel such as the ones offered by opera vpn that have also been blocked.
ill be honest im not knowledgeable enough to know what is and what is not but the sheer amount of these that are showing in the recent page is alarming to me
so btw just as a bit of forewarning, unless you put all this stuff onto another page separately from the gen they only work on no style.

you see, the dev being one individual who cant be on most hours of their free time has set up this system where we as users are able to just block people who we no longer wish to interact with. this gets better though, so after so many users block a person for their troll antics of bad behavior there is a automod response that will ban said individual, it's not exactly like that but im not trying to bore anyone with technicals. So in conclusion just block the kid and don't worry about them. i think that is best action that may be taken as that gen in particular does not have a active moderator its one of the demo gens. best of luck.
im not a mod do as you wish. i do believe the reddit gets more views but its also just full of people trying to do nsfw content. in my own experience i never did any advertising really, other than the occasional mention in conversation. why dont you build a page for perchance that you can discuss all the stuff about the updates, upcoming ideas etc can use it like a hub to forward people to your different pages. dropping a link to your page in main gen chat will make people mad but it also will get you some clicks. seen people do that plenty.
yo its neat, but do you have to make so many post about it? im not a mod or anything but im just speaking from having seen more than 2 post like this in feed
While the underlying image models do learn. The image generation that Perchance uses are continuously updated and trained on vast datasets by it's creator. This is why users may notice a difference in the quality of the generated images over time. For example, a model may be updated to better interpret a user's intent or to generate more diverse imagery.
User interaction doesn't train the model. The tool does not learn from the prompts nor from the upvotes you personally enter. Providing feedback or generating many similar images does not cause the model to adapt specifically for you. The improvements you see are from broader model updates rolled out to all users.
The user learns, which improves results. For a user, the "learning" process is about refining their prompting techniques to achieve the desired result.
with what you have said in response to point 2. just test it, open edit on the image gen find the line that says hideIfScoreIsBelow and make the number witch will likely be -1 change this to something like -15 and then hit reload (not refresh) check the gallery you post stuff to, swap it to recent / none /also want to point out cause i just thought about it. If you only do perchance on private browsing there is a feature which hides nsfw images until the generate button is pressed X amount of times, i cant recall the amount. do all of that see if they show, if they do not enter into admin mode. click the cog for the gallery and type the word "admin" press enter. if the images appear and they have a red box around them this means they have been banned or hidden by the admin of that page.
the best way to do what you want to is to make your own generator and add this to your own list of emojis. the page you are speaking of while it is the called often the main gen its just an example page set up for users to fork so they may add or change things as they wish.
