Except you can stop it. The proposal included an option to exit at the top if the hill was enough to make you change your mind.

I am in the process of switching my account from world to blahaj. So I'm not particularly happy about this change.

I'll use the new 196 as a passive viewer, but I'm unlikely to post or comment after this change.

as a democratic nation its probably a bad idea to allow a small number of businesses to control content distribution. Apps should be regulated based on their actions and practices, not national origin.

disinformation does not become a good thing when produced domestically.

It takes a particular kind of brain rot to believe that people who don't live in america, and don't do the majority of their business in america, care more about influencing the american people than those who live in america and do the majority of their business in america.

The ban is for the interests of politicians who want to stop the discorse happening on tiktok, and tech companies who want to run a shortform video site and have been unsuccessful in creating their own.

If tiktok is doing what they are accused of, reasonable legislation would ban that practice. When the bill is written to try and let google or facebook buy a successful implementation of shortform video, you know you have an entirely corrupt government.

Unless you are capable of violence you cannot be peaceful, only harmless.

I think the conclusion is accurate given what the researchers found from what they measured during the study.

The results of any experimental study are be limited to the scope of the experiment, and the conclusion must be as well. This is science working as it does.

Everything you say about HRT is accurate as far as I'm aware, but those are only arguments you can make from meta-analyses that take into account the results of many studies.

Don't take the findings of single experimental studies conclusively. This study is a report on what was found with around 20 specific trans women over a 6 month period. This is published by scientists for other scientists, to direct, refute, or confirm other research. Read all expiriments in that light.

They hold every social media company to the same equal standard. Facebook, twitter, google, bluesky, and tiktok are all equally forbidden from operating while chinese.

This is in no way targeted, like not even a little bit... honest

Covid's job is to spread itself to new hosts to reproduce. It isn't lethal to those in reasonable health. Attempting an assassination using a virus that you are infected with, and expect to recover from is incredibly dumb.

Besides, covid is common. There's no way he doesn't encounter it somewhere. If covid could kill him, it wouldn't be due to your efforts.

Now if you had a much more dangerous and rare communicable disease, that is dangerous enough you don't expect to survive, or are an unaffected carrier, by all means shake the hands of as many influential people you can! Covid is not that.

There are private fire departments. They are owned by companies that own industrial facilities with high fire risk, that need immediate response, such as oil refineries, chemical plants, and and factories.

But you're right that there aren't private fire companies to serve anyone on demand. There are no manned fire trucks in LA waiting for a high enough bidder to respond to the fire.

My doctor had me slowly ramp up the spiro dose over the course of four weeks. 50mg/day for the first week, 100mg, the second, continuing up to 200mg. Had some rough symptoms shortly after the increase days, but those largely went away once I was on a consistant dose.

These drugs will affect your brain chemicals, and brains tend to prefer consistency. You are probably reacting to the change more than the drugs themselves.

E + Spiro has improved my mental wellbeing immensely. Give it time.

The settling of the "new world" is one of the few times in history that intentional spelling reforms actually took.

Noah Webster published a dictionary with his preferred spellings, and because those dictionaries that disagreed were an ocean away, we spell things with less vowels and also we sometimes put our E's and R's in a different order.

From the previous times details about the typhoon were posted to try and get the devs to add the plane.

Not very effective.
