+1 to this guide. I don't agree with all of their ratings (I liked some of the episodes they recommended skipping), but I used it when I started watching Star Trek and now I'm obsessed.
The two speeches that really bugged me were at the ends(?) of seasons 2 and 4. They may or may not have been good, but I just couldn't focus on them because they had spent the past few episodes building up the pressure that this team was under to save the galaxy FAST, and then suddenly they decide to spend 5 minutes just chilling and talking about how important their job is while Control or the DMA is about to kill everyone.
I think I probably would have been fine with them if they were much shorter or appeared in an earlier episode.
Great video. Terrible (but necessary) to hear the stories of the people who lost so much. Such huge props to Jeff, 3kliks, and WarOwl for not taking that money.
I know that Valve is the subject of the next video so perhaps it will be addressed there, but I was surprised to see how many sites had gambling features named after Gaben. Surely he can't be okay with that, right? I'm guessing he just doesn't know and obviously he could just be wiping away his tears with the stacks of cash he's made from CS, but even billionaires have a brand to protect.
Sooo... surely with them releasing smaller changes to the mechanics and most maps being playable, the open beta is right around the corner right? Right?

Looks like KBin supports Markdown tables now, sick! They're pretty big though, so let me know if you prefer the smaller plaintext tables I used to make.

No problem! I'm using the Post Match Thread Creator which spits out a pretty good result, but right now KBin seems to be missing markdown table support (not sure about lemmy) and this magazine doesn't have the built-in team icons like the subreddit so I have to do a bit of manual adjusting.
Now that the blackout is over I don't expect to see any major growth any time soon, but if people keep posting here then hopefully more people will consider including this magazine as a source of content. We can keep posting HLTV articles and post-game threads here but right now the main thing we're missing is OC, so hopefully with CS2 around the corner people will start to post some clips.
