I've committed to the first season of Bosch, after flirting with it for a while. I initially wasn't sure because I'm not a big fan of American police procedurals, but this one has a bit of a noir feel which drew me in. Then I read a Guardian review which described it as "paint-by-numbers" and I started second-guessing myself, until I heard a football journalist who works for The Guardian randomly recommend it on a post-World Cup episode and decided it was a sign to give it a try.
So far it is quite good. Definitely very formulaic and clichéd, but I'm not sure I really want experimental or groundbreaking in this type of genre. Something that feels familiar is actually the vibe I think I was looking for when this show appeared on my radar. I can just watch an episode here and there and not get too invested.

It can be a weekly little race if you want it to be, but the important thing is that every participant chooses how they want to take part. It can be as competitive as trying to finish first and set a course record or as uncompetitive as going for a morning walk with the dog or baby.
Sometimes people (usually newcomers or people who don't attend) feel insecure about this but it's a way to attract people from the community of all ages and backgrounds. If Parkrun only appealed to casuals, or only appealed to hardcore runners, it wouldn't be anywhere near as successful as it is at getting large numbers of people from the local community out exercising and socialising with people outside of their usual social circle.

The Communicator design looks way better for typing, much more stable and comfortable with its thicker, curved back. The Minimal Phone 2 may look nicer but being thin and flat is not good when you need to press keys.
Both companies have their issues, but from what I know about them I find Clicks to be a little more trustworthy. They've been developing hardware, albeit not phones, for a while now and seem reasonably stable. I've only heard positive reviews of their keyboards. Minimal is a small company and the fact they've made such a radical departure from their first phone doesn't fill me with much confidence, particularly since it had a lot of issues. It feels a bit like they're abandoning their Gen 1 customers.
Yes, my partner and I really enjoyed it. She likes silly humour and I like British cringe humour so it was a good mix for us. It also has quite a bit of heart, with themes around aging and loneliness that I found relatable and moving.
It's only six thirty minute episodes so you can binge it in a couple of nights very easily.
Interesting, which films are you basing the Bong nomination off then? These days when I hear his name it's usually from someone who started with Parasite and has maybe seen his English language films like Snowpiercer and Mickey 17.
Park Chan-wook. I've enjoyed every film I've seen from him, over quite a large filmography. His films always have well developed arcs with great endings, whether they are darkly comic tragedies or revenge thrillers. His style of direction is always creative and playful too, lots of interesting zoom shots and angles.
Some guys that I'll also watch blind, but expect less from are Na Hong-jin, Woo Min-ho and Bong Joon Ho. Na has been consistent over a limited filmography, whilst Woo and Bong have larger filmographies with some of my favourites but also miss the mark from time to time.
I wasn't really thinking about animations before another comment here, but of course I will always watch a Hayao Miyazaki film.
