I think the men's final is Swerve vs Ospreay, with Ospreay going over. The women's seems wide open to me, but I'd love to see Athena get the win; it's long past time for her to become a fixture on AEW programming.
Probably not anything that deliberate, but definitely it could be that D'amore wanted to keep building on the buzz TNA has been getting and grow it, and Anthem doesn't want to make that investment in the company for whatever reason.
If WWE and AEW were on friendlier terms, and if he were healthy enough, an MJF appearance in the Rumble would be amazing right now, considering the whole "bidding war of 2024" story.
I think part of what happened with Action Andretti was that the story didn't work out, but there's also just the fact that he didn't really stand out in the ring or on the mic enough to carry it forward. The big underdog win was a great moment, but there just wasn't enough of a foundation to build on from there.
