So I chose lemmy.world as it's a general purpose instance and immediate registry.
Sounds like you had issues exclusively with hardware, perhaps you should'ce gone for a different manufacturer.
My personal anecdote has never seen anything break (that I didn't cause myself).
Fediverse allows you to filter languages you know and this is the way the filter knows what language the post is. I'm sure you can just not select a language but it runs the risk that some people might not see it.
I also see the number of comments be different to how many comments I can see on the thread.
