Not necessarily for any particular boss - but I enjoy shmups (Gradius, Thunder Force, Gaiares) and getting anything other than a "c" on a level is work. I've even seen videos of people 2 sticking the game (playing both players at once) and getting S on levels...
Previous company not only did rto but also did the whole open concept garbage. I lucked into one of the best jobs of my career around that time and have not looked back (full remote, some on site for physical hardware but nothing at any sort of cadence)
On my days to exercise I'll pick up trash around my block on my cool down walk. If it's 3 miles out I'm likely to not pick it up given I'm typically on a run at that point.
I actually did this. Maybe not within thirty seconds or so, but I was applying for a higher level position (above my current classification) at a collections agency. Was kind of sick of the grind but others thought I should be promoted, but interview was required first.
I basically told them over and over that if they paid me the right salary I'd do the job. They were not impressed, and my then manager had a few words for me the next day.
Oh to be young and not having a care in the world. I also knew I had a different career path in mind, so I wasn't interested in staying either.
I hate the fact that Dell got rid of the track point on their higher end models. My hands get dry on occasion and then my precision's touch pad stops responding. Besides the fact that I hate using it when it works well.
I had a colleague ask me if he won the lottery, how much could they gift me to retire immediately? Of course a small windfall would be great to set up future stability, but I told them 5 million to give all work up immediately.
As I get older I realize that karma really doesn't exist. And I have to be okay with that. Although that's not what it's sold to us every day in the media or even in social circles.
2 Asus 27" 1440p monitors center and right. 1 Dell 4k ultrasharp on the left and my laptop display underneath. My own PC connects to the two Asus; my work laptop connects to the Dell and center Asus and depending on if it is work time or play time, I swap the input on the center monitor. Input director provides mouse and keyboard access across both machines and works really really well. I do use all 4 monitors throughout the day; the personal machine isn't tied into work but with input director the clipboard is shared across for copying and posting information found on searches etc. I work remotely.
There was a time before mp3 - pepperidge farm remembers! But yeah, now? I still have a cowon mp3 player that I just can't find myself to throw in the trash...
