The album 'pride' is originally what got me into him. It's really good and has a weirdness to it I love. But I agree - song for zula is one of the greatest. The rest of this album didn't do it for me either.
However, seeing them live is fucking fantastic. You don't need to like their songs to have a good fucking time. Their passion is contagious.

Often times a paid suspension is to protect from future wrongful termination law suits. Paying someone to stay home for the duration of an investigation, then severing employment based on the outcome of the investigation is pretty standard practice... Not just for police or unions but companies as well.

Edit: he also had a band before Low Roar, back when he lived in the states, called Audrye Sessions. They were more of a rock sound but still quite good.
I would actually just settle for not pre ordering AAA games as a good place to start.
