The real problem with Greenland is it being worth taking back. It has a population of 50k. The biggest town has a population smaller than all but the most rural towns in most countries. It's just so far out of date and the teachers aren't allowed to explain what any of the slang means so it's just... soulless. If they were able to explain how filthy it is, the kids would probably enjoy it more.

It'll cost tens of billions to refurbish the Venezuelan oil industry and while their oil reserves are massive, they're also extremely low quality and cost more to refine. And to what end? The US is a net oil exporter. Flooding the market with cheap Venezuelan oil will just crash the price and fuck up the domestic oil market.
Which I guess is the point, if the goal is to ultimately internally destabilize the US to allow tech bro feudalism to take over?
