It's amazing how much they just copy, copy, copy. Even just some effort to spice it up and add some unique ideas could help.
XDefiant had some decent bones. Not going to claim I loved it by any means, but I had a fun time playing it for a bit when it launched. Then it just did nothing to freshen up the experience so I fell off fast.
Though I've got my eye on Splitgate 2 now, I have a good feeling about that one!
Just started playing Splitgate 2!
Didn't really pay too much attention when it got announced, but I saw it was live last night and gave it a try.
As a long time Halo/Arena Shooter fan, this game really scratches a certain itch. The gameplay is crisp, the art direction is fun, and I had a blast. Now I just need to get better at using my portals in game...
Something that stood out to me is that the install (at least on Xbox) was only 17gb! After so many gigantic games, it's nice to have one with a manageable file size.
With an impending reset for Halo, I'm glad we can at least get some more of the Infinite story somewhere!
If I remember correctly, Kelly Gat also did The Rubicon Protocol. That book was an amazing companion to Infinite's story.
Absolutely love these posts. Look forward to it each week! I'm really curious to watch SteamOS grow into something bigger for desktops someday.
While many of us would probably go to a more specific Linux Distro, having the option for the average user to move away from Windows (especially in a less intimidating or familiar fashion) is a big step forward.
Same! I'm about a month into properly running Mint Cinnamon ans it's been a lovely experience. Glad to be part of the team

I'm a busy dude, but I'd love to find the time to put together a Lemmy team! Shoot me that friend code for sure!
Yeah I really need to replace that thing lol
No, but I've always wanted to get a copy!
Always gotta show my respect for CQB. I should boot up my 360 again someday and see if my old H3 spartan is still there
Render96 is legendary. Felt like I was playing a version of Mario 64 I saw in my dreams once lmao
I got the bonus 5th one: Linux
I haven't read Renegades yet! I'll absolutely have to check it out

As another long-time Sonic fan, this is the perfect path of recommendation! Sonic/Shadow Gens is a perfect way to open the door to the world.
Using Adventure 1+2 as a journey into the narratives of Sonic is perfect!
It is!! One of my all time favorites from the N64 so I'm thrilled to see it getting a recomp. Glad to see other Chameleon Twist fans out there!!
