To be fully honest, there has been a kill switch in the quest headsets since day 1 that could block piracy. Meta has refused to use it because oddly enough, piracy sells units.
I havent seen this "killswitch" myself but a reliable source has explained this to me. I feel this new api is more of a marketing stunt. A way for them to say "look we did something" but only time will tell.
My suggestion, save a backup of your current setup. Then update either your original, or the copy. Check out how things run, and make a choice based on your own assessment.

May be an issue with your browser certifications, or even isp block. Have you tried a vpn?

Actually if you read the description, this bot does seed, you manually set the ratio at which it stops.
