Billionaires do give a fuck. They just don't give a fuck about anyone but themselves, and maybe close family/friends to some extent.
If I were to hazard a guess I'd guess billionaires fall into 3 camps regarding climate change. Those that still don't believe in it or that their will be any consequences. They are probably in the minority of billionaires (I do believe most of them believe climate change is real at this point, but their unbridled greed won't allow them to admit it in public).
Then you've got the billionaires who do believe in climate change split into 2 more camps. Those that are so old that they predict they won't live long enough to see the large scale consequences effect them, and thus don't care. Finally, those that are young, but believe they can save themselves, without having to help save the world. Those are the billionaires building underground bunkers and compounds. Planning to ride it out from their private utopias.
HA! I literally just watched that just last night. I'm pretty sure I'd seen it long ago, but I stumbled upon it again because I saw the creator is coming out with a horror movie based on a twisted version of Barney (the purple dinosaur) called Buddy.
I agree that season 1 was much better than season 2; however, it does get better. Kind of ironic you quit after three episodes (not that I blame you) because the fourth was the best of the season, and things turned around from there.
I'm still rooting for it to be renewed for another season. There is still plenty they can do with Colin Farrell's character and backstory. They just need a better detective case then the one they gave us this season.

Oh god yes! I like to jog in my neighborhood at night and whenever one of these vehicles with super bright lights drives by I literally have to stop in my tracks because I can't see a damn thing in front of me. It's even worse when I'm driving!

True story. While watching Home Alone 2 with my wife, I once innocently commented to her that the Central Park Pigeon Lady looked a lot like her Mother. It did not go over well! But even looking at Brenda Fricker now I can't help but see a strong resemblance.
I loved season 1 of Poker Face, but season 2 fell flat for me and I can't even remember exactly why now. I just know I stopped watching the second season pretty early on and had no desire to pick it back up again.
Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed - This show is so good! Mystery, comedy, thriller. It checks a lot of boxes for me. I hope a lot of people are watching it, because I really want it to be renewed. Also, the people doing the soundtrack are nailing it!
Sugar - The second season hasn't been quite as good as the first, but the latest episode (4) was very solid! Hoping it's a sign of things to come.
Silo - So far season three kinda feels a step backwards in a sense. In the first two seasons the viewer was in the dark with Juliette Nichols, but now she is in the dark, and we are not (at least not as much). That said I'm still really enjoying this season.
I only recently started using Letterboxd and I noticed the same thing about their movie reviews. Everyone tries to come up with the snarkiest comment that will get voted to the very top.
Man, I was just starting to switch over to Letterboxd because IMDB now requires I have an account to read reviews... If this goes through it's only a matter of time before the enshittification begins. We need to create a decentralized movie/tv review site!
Firefly is better imo, but it does have the "advantage" of only having had one very good season. Would Firefly have kept the same quality or better over 6 seasons? Who knows. We've all seen shows with excellent first seasons that later drop in quality (Altered Carbon for example). Regardless, The Expanse is a great sci-fi show that is at least worth trying out if you liked Firefly.
Legion is great! Very trippy show, especially fun to watch while under the influence of something.
I remember Devs sorta changing the direction you'd expect the show to go after the first episode. If you like philosophical shows that make you think a bit deeper than your average TV show you might give it an episode or two more before calling it quits. I really enjoyed that show, but I like almost everything Alex Garland creates!
I'm not huge into superhero shows/movies, but Peacemaker is by far my favorite of the genre. It helps to have watched The Suicide Squad first. The one that came out in 2021 directed by James Gunn, not the 2016 flop with Will Smith.
And yes, Fallout is superb! Best video game adaptation to date in my book! Great show even for people who have never played the games.
