I could see any of these possibilities as a reaction:
Self checkouts become overwhelmed so stores remove remaining paid cashiers to add more self checkout lanes.
Self checkouts are reduced or removed to avoid giving any discounts.
I believe I read that grocery margins are thin at the store and are much higher for manufacturers. I could see stores increasing prices across the board to recoup costs.
Hard to know for sure, the people seem to just rarely get a W these days that isn’t immediately wiped out by something else.
Wake me up when Valve has an app store on Android that leverages the FEX translation layer to run my Steam library. Gamehub and Gamenative are not my favorite.
A 5mm Allen wrench was taken from me in Istanbul. The 4mm was ok, he looked at both, but the 5 could be dangerous. They were THE EXACT SAME SIZE. Standard L-shape
Haha thank you, we do alright, my wife is pretty cool. Nemo makes great gear. The later version of that tent (used on our Nova Scotia trip) was well improved. I think they called the new fabric Osmo. Shoot me a DM if you’re interested, I might be able to sneak a 40% code from her.

I have only had the Fargo for a few months now, I got it before they switched to 32” wheels, so I imagine the newer version is even more of a beast. My winter experience on the Fargo is limited mostly to commutes, but it has been extremely comfortable. It’s definitely a bit more in the ATB realm and feels more upright than the Vaya.
I do feel like I will probably still bikepack on the Vaya. The mounts are a bit more favorable for the racks and bags that I have. My wife works for Nemo and has documented a few of our bike adventures on the Nemo blog if you’re curious to see a picture of mine. Nemo makes an awesome bikepacking tent.
I have a 2020 Vaya and I am convinced that the Vaya is one of the best bikes ever made. I got a Fargo last year also, and I love it just as much. The Vaya has been so many places with me, I even took it on my honeymoon to the Azores.
Evaporated is ‘used’. It’s arguably more ‘used’ than it is when it goes down the sewer to local wastewater treatment, as that water is often put back into groundwater through infiltration fields. Depleting aquifers is the main concern of data center water usage.
I already own a lifetime Plex pass, so I have no reason to stop using it. They are high thinking that anyone will pay $750 for lifetime. I paid under $100 but frankly I would have paid more, I use it every day. I’m glad that the devs there were able to get paid and provide for their families while making Plex. Plex works incredibly well for me and my family, I will use it for as long as I am able to.
I struggle to understand why JF users seem to want Plex users to convert so badly. I used JF for a while but things are great on Plex. If I thought JF was better I would switch and my metadata is well prepared for the day I need to.
Googled it: Proton operates under a unique hybrid model. Its core services (such as Proton Mail and Proton VPN) are run by a for-profit Swiss corporation, Proton AG, but the primary voting shareholder is the non-profit Proton Foundation.
This structure was designed to permanently put people before profits and protect the company from hostile takeovers or venture capital control. While the foundation ensures the company never deviates from its privacy-first mission, Proton AG must remain profitable to be fully independent and self-sustaining without relying on subsidies.
Yeah I think you said it better. If I boycotted every company that employs one person I disagree with I would be self hosting everything. Proton represents the best in privacy-focused non-Google/Microsoft hosted email and productivity services. There are numerous reasons that we should want to see them succeed if even just to take some market share from Google.
Same here, JF is on reserve but I'll be sad if I ever need to switch. Ever since they fixed downloads I have 0 major complaints. Plex just works, and it works very well for my and my family's needs. I am perfectly happy paying once for software that I use every single day.
I just watched these take off from Pease (NH) a few days ago. There were 25 or so total and I saw 8 leave. Feels weird to think I might have photos of the one that went down.
We just battled HB1703 for mandatory bike registration for all bikes in New Hampshire. They wanted $50/yr PER BIKE with a $100 fine for not having a registration. It had something like 30 in support, 14,000 in opposition.
Valve has entered the chat and has summoned Proton (Linux compatibility layer) FEX (ARM architecture compatibility layer), and a Steam Machine. A future with these 4 could look a lot different than what we have now, though it would certainly take some time.
Bitlocker is computer drive encryption. On W11 it’s supposed to be tied to the motherboards TPM. End to end encryption is not really applicable in this scenario. That phrase is more applicable to cloud services or storage where a telecom or CSP hosts or transports your data but can’t see what the data is.
Microsoft should not have the keys to decrypt Bitlocker ever.

Who are they expecting to sell stuff to if everyone is unemployed and fighting over an ever decreasing piece of the pie?
What’s left to fight with? The old, the weak, and the nukes. Their best hardware is largely destroyed and most capable soldiers are all dead.
