I take that back, biking is probably my favorite leg exercise. Lunges are the truth, P90x showed me me the way, and I haven't looked back since. Grab between 20lbs (9kg) to 200lbs (91kg) of weight. Keep your chest high and vertical. Stretch your leg out as far as you can, get as low as you can WITHOUT touching your knee on the ground (no cheating!). Do this across a 20ft (6m) span and back, that's one rep. I'll do usually 5-10 reps, and 3-10 sets, depending on how much time I have. Trust me you will feel it.
Lunges with weights are my favorite leg exercise. Found some old sparring equipment in my garage so hopefully I can start working the heavy bag again here soon.
Decided to take down the Bill post. The feedback was really helpful for me and I appreciate the comrades that made an effort to respond.
That being said, I need to chill on the drama posting, unconstrucive sectarianism, and dumping my personal issues on the grad. This place isn't my personal diary. Being a hot-head on social media is a bad combo. Often I let those instincts get the better of me, I'm too old for that kind of behavior. Being surrounded by reactionaries on the daily IRL will take a toll. Maybe in the future I should focus more on the arguments being presented, instead of focusing on the other factors. For example instead of saying 'Bill is a dummy for saying communism=no iPhone', I could ask 'does anyone have any resources on light industry under a socialist system'.
Anyway I'm sorry if my presence here so far has been a net negative. I'm going to try and be better in the future. I want to leave a positive impact on this community, because this place is awesome, you comrades have done more for me than you know. That being said, I'm excited to start 'Theory Thursday' on GenZhou, be ready!
I'm not sure, I don't think this person is on the same planet as the rest of us. Their favorite saying is 'perception is reality', which explains a lot lol. This person runs on nuclear grade idealism.
Glad to see that Wolff is still at it. Wish he'd give us an update on his D@W program, it's been down for a few months.
I used to walk 20 miles to school, uphill both ways, in 100 degree weather, in 4ft of snow!
My reading recommendation: Thesis on Feuerbach
