That's a good synopsis of the game. Nothing wrong that I notice. Glad it doesn't have persistent world as the station is normally destroyed by the end of the round lol.
Players can also be picked to be an antagonist for the round. It'll be something like a traitor who has to kill other players or steal a specific item. You can also get picked for something else like a cultist that has to secretly/forcibly convert the rest of the station before they get caught. Or you can just straight up be a xenomorph and relive the alien franchise by making more of you out of the stations workers lol.
It's worth trying. Do know that the controls are very weird at the start. It's very easy to get overwhelmed at the and give up when not understanding the game. Once you get past that obstacle, the game opens up so much
If you want to see more about the game then watch this review of it. It explains the game well and gives a good overview of it all.
MonkeStation is one of the more populated servers and I think a good one to start on. Picking a role like assistant or janitor might be the best as you'll have less or no responsibility during the rounds. As a janitor you'll have access to more of the station and will get the layout memorized after a few rounds since y'all be going around cleaning up blood/gore a ton lol.
Space Station 13 is a free online game where dozens of players pick a role on a space station and they must perform their duties till a shuttle comes to take the survivors "home" so the round ends. Here is a video review of it that explains it well.
The roles/jobs you can pick are things like chef/botanist/security/science/medical/Clown.
It's a really great game that is over 20 years old now. It's run on a program called Byond that is used to make user games. You'll just need to install that program to run SS13 and then have an account on the site.
That's all just the basic space station 13 information I had to explain before what this server is. People decided to code over one of the SS13 servers to make it a medieval game instead. You'll be able to now be things like a king/queen/guard/mercenary/begger/tavern keeper/graveyard keeper/Jester
In the video I am walking towards a rotten corpse to bring it to the graveyard to burry. I jokingly say it smelled nice to the other player and they emoted the "gag" sound.
Hope I explained it well! It's one of my favorite games.
It works great and all you gotta do is downgrade Byond to a version from a year ago and it runs. It will give you a link to the right version if it detects your version is too new. It takes mere minutes once you have everything installed from github.
Blahaj wasn't letting me sign in months to post it here. All good now tho! Hope it works well for you if you try.
My friends just came back from Japan and they drank so many of these while there. This Strong Zero brand is something I gotta try in the future when I visit.
Definitely cheaper than getting some delivered to Texas lol
I can't imagine new players playing the game. I tried getting back in after missing most of the events since the 2nd dlc came out. So much of the story is gone now because they were only part of the event and inaccessible now. Doesn't even feel like the same game when I went back to it. Tried watching a 2 hour lore video for all the things that happene but that didn't help.

No two rounds are alike.

Monkeys are always the best option.
You definitely should! I like how these games thrive on people that want to directly improve the game they love.
Ignore the whole Plasma Fist attack at the start there. It was ill timed with the final floor cluwne attack so I just left it all in lol.
I should start mentioning it on the server I play. Yogstation peeps don't go to reddit much from what I see.
And welcome again!
Ay welcome! I wasn't able to log into this account for 5-ish months and never posted since getting back here lol. I plan to change that.
And those blood cult members got what they deserve. Love when a whole team finds a reason in-game to go against antags.
Hey good news! I found the steps to run the server offline. I made a video over it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5Saj7A5_1M

The squid has spoken!
Volcano Taco from Taco Bell
Lava sauce is life. The promotion last year went by so fast.... :'(
Oh sorry for not replying till now lol. New phone and I lost access to Lemmy for a bit!
Sadly this mode is no longer being worked on at Yogstation and got taken offline :(
They left all the code up on GitHub so if you know any other SS13 devs then they can adapt the code to their codebase probably.
I absolutely loved the 3D server and played as much as a could while recording everything.
Here's the full video from where this screenshot is from.
Aw I missed the Lemmy cake day lol.
I'm glad to see how far it's come based on your post :)
Thanks for making this instance extremely enjoyable for those in it!!!
Excited for this arc to be animated. Really enjoyed reading it over the last year.
The music video trailer they released for this arc was pretty nice too. https://youtu.be/-Sb4wxbHh-4?si=csY7VZhMHzoeIKnK
Strong Zero drinks just seem so good from all my friends have told me. I gotta try some soon.

I guess it depends on your location. For me the highest price on that menu is $2.39 for the mcdoubles
Reading this comment chain while eating a McDonald's BOGO double cheeseburger gave me the biggest laugh.
