I feel like I definitellyyy saw a CMYK printer in a VOD of some printing convention a couple years ago? It was presented by some company and looked huge and expensive, wish I could remember who they were.

Maybe something to do with your max volumetric flow rate? Could cap that lower and see if anything changes with the 0.4mm

Aww, I didn't realize! It came from people I trusted, and it's a few years old, so I guess I didn't look too closely... ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Yeah if this is ai I shouldn't have posted it. We definitely need some real graphics for this idea.

If you do end up replacing the whole laptop, oddly enough I happened to be looking into the same thing today. Two sources not in your list that you might want to consider: Starlabs and Purism.

I don't wanna go Framework because of the aforementioned CEO shenanigans. Both System76 and Tuxedo are ultimately selling priced-up rebranded Clevo laptops, for better or worse. Both Starlabs and Purism, I believe, custom manufacture theirs like Framework does. I'm leaning Starlabs because I need something that can run at least some games, and it seemed the better contender there

At work we have a little thingy for digitizing 8mm/super8 film reels. It's kinda janky, doesn't actually play the reels at normal intended speeds or even at all really, in a sense. Rather, it takes a picture of each individual frame and then turns them into a video. I've been told by purists that this is far from ideal.

However!

The advancing film mechanism makes this incredibly satisfying rhythmic "ka chunk, ka chunk, ka chunk" noise that I reallllyyyyy enjoy. Check it out: https://loops.video/v/g53y-EtF-C
