I have a carbon steel knife a buddy of mine made, has lasted 10+ years. Holds a decent edge, so I can even shave my arm hair with it when it's freshly sharpened.
Also have some cheap ass Kiwi brand paring knives made from kind of extremely soft stainless steel. Very easy to sharpen. They get used as steak knives, for cutting cheese, apples, etc.
If the keycaps are grimy, soak them in a bowl of water with a denture cleaning tablet. Then rinse and leave them out to dry. Works well when keycaps get gross from finger grime too.

I have a feeling it could be some of the additives in oat milk that are the culprit.

I'll keep an eye out for that. I am trying to put on weight so I do end up eating a lot of fat. Maybe I switch them out for more carbs.

Fun fact, adding textiles to walls for insulation is where we get the term "furring" from.
I wish awnings were more common. Such a simple way to block out midday or afternoon sun in the hot summer.
I don't know the species, and there are a few that are found in my area. One day I'll bring the field guide and figure it out.
