Not sure what the fuck I just stumbled into but holy shit the comments here are wild. This is some twilight zone shit assuming everyone here are real people.
This has always been a threat vector, even before the us fell into this fascist state. We’re too busy working on our own demise to be concerned with it however.
Massive blackouts in metropolitan areas across the country simultaneously and for over a week duration would cause a collapse.
I’m insulated, but just slightly…completely off grid power and water but it would just make me a target as things descended into chaos.
Still a bit different situation. Pipeline construction is the biggest concern for most but it’s temporary and they get paid for it. Afterwards, sure they must give easement rights to the owner but afterwards? Out of sight out of mind.
While this is true, trains are hard because of all the different people and companies need to give up their land to do it. Billionaires can just buy a chunk of land and then pay off local reps to look the other way and shoehorn the permits.
Trains would require imminent eminent domain at a high rate. People generally dont like the government taking their land.
The distance at impact to reach Mach 26 in space would be immense. Also, the ability for them to shatter an asteroid is slim to none. Even if that were the case, the distance required??? This is like being concerned about getting hit by a shotgun at 1000m.
The main principle behind this approach is based on distance and small changes in trajectory… I am just simply pointing out that nothing you’ve stated matters at all, given the topic at hand.
You think they are able to achieve the delta V required to get out of orbit and be able to accelerate a projectile to Mach 26 over a distance that would allow debris to fall back into orbit?
China leapfrogged everyone by centuries and went straight to star wars shit I guess.
You mean, Russia shoots down drone targeting facility and debris falls near bus stop…
Russia is generally the one that intentionally targets civilians for the sake of targeting civilians.
Russia has destroyed post offices, apartments, children’s hospitals, bookstores, and other non military targets.

I like your username. Lol
This is a pretty terrible extrapolation of a prior meme…
“Original content” that somehow both isn’t original and is worse than the original.

Crash and burn their way into the position.
Well, that was difficult to watch. Overly verbose tangents got annoying after the first 3 instances.
