I don't know either. It's strange because news like this pops up every once in a while. I'm assuming it cost money to process the remains, so they hold off doing it, even after getting paid by the family. But I don't know what's up. But it's horrible to think that someone's loved one would just be rotting somewhere rather than treated with respect.

EDIT: Finished reading it. Pretty short story, but I liked the atmosphere it set. Wasn't exactly what I was expecting, and it's very much reflective of the nuclear war fear everyone had back in the 60s, but it was a fun little read.

I love how back when this was written, tech life was like RadioShack, where ya could just dig around and find parts and put together whatever you want. Little more complicated these days with operating chips, different coding languages, etc.

I've been on a Ben Bova splurge lately. I've always known about him, but only recently started reading his stuff. This early stuff isn't as good as he later stuff, but I'm still enjoying it.

I just like how is writing is matter-of-fact and flows so well. Great writer.
