People DO get killed because of phone usage in other countries. It is a huge issue. There's now even special cameras here for fining people that call. Unfortunately many people text and drive. I constantly see people look down their laps while driving.
Well, there is no need to justify a decision for personal use. But keep in mind there is plenty of corp software that literally can not run on Linux. Believe me, I tried.
Most people use their phones far more than their consoles and mid range phones literally exist around 300-400 price point. The SM is optimized but the hardware is not on a 'flagship' level.
