It's quite obvious that they're trying to troll, also keeping in mind the long story of the db0-fedditOrg leftist infight*. From your perspective their comment could read like a dog whistle: You don't understand the full meaning since you don't know enough about the instances' beef. But from their and our perspective it's an obvious attempt to reinflame tensions between the instances.
They could have choosen to actually have a discussion, but just having a look at the thread they linked tells me that they don't want to.
TL;DR: No need to discuss anything other than: "Ok, we get it, you wanna troll, but we don't fall for it, thanks for your efforts."
