EDIT: I've dropped my insult. This man handled this very poorly originally and failed to not only respect the rules of the community but went out of his way to disregard them and also insult women in the process!
I’m convinced “violet” is a young boy in his early teens who gets off pretending to be a thirsty “woman” on the internet. Based solely on… Everything they’ve ever posted.
Could you go be convinced of that literally anywhere else and fuck off?
Honestly, every other comment in that thread threw away their humanity to get one in on the rich girl with an ED. The excuse could be made that it was in a shitpost community but it's clear the post wasn't calling for ridicule. I'm really disappointed.
The rest of this comment is just ranting. Skip if you want.
How very cute, a pun about "Grande" meaning large while she's withering in front of us from not eating. How brave, calling her scum for being rich and having an ED. Why yes, anorexia does make one look like a skeleton. Why yes, this is an appropriate time to exacerbate her fans and accuse her of stolen valor about her skin color. (/s)
I'm so tired. I grew up learning all about EDs in school and I feel like no one else was paying attention or we collectively forgot just how many friends killed themselves that way. This was a part of the 90's and 00's celebrity culture that I was hoping died there. I hope Ariana gets actual help before it kills her or hurts those impressionable enough to copy her. And I don't even fucking like her.
I always loved mtg because it felt like its own universe. Decisions had weight, we learned about important leaders and events through cards, and we got to feel connected with each plane we visited. The art was directed to capture the spirit of each plane. We could get attached to planeswalkers, or pick a favorite tribe, or try out quirky mechanics!
Anyway it will be a cold day in hell before I play against Transformers, SpongeBob, and Spider-Man in a commander game. Hasbro has killed mtg for people like me. Might as well bring back Venser and slap some NASCAR patches on him. Fuck it, let's go back to Innistrad and get a Hotel Transylvania tie in!
I do not understand, and I meant that part literally, what it is that makes people hates "tankies".
Usually the authoritarianism fantasy and idolization of the USSR and China. Advocating for overt violence is usually another reason.
Please do not reply to me with an explanation, at least not here.
Oh, whoops, my bad, here's the door. shows you the door
It's frustrating to be shown the door so rudely by people you think would be on your side without knowing why.
It's frustrating that you think we're on the same side and you refuse to introspect on why you have such dissonance with those you would otherwise align with.
Someone made a frontend for Lemmy called Tesseract. This person added a default-on non-comitted list of users, communities, and instances that frontend would block regardless of your own instance or account settings (unless you were a mod or admin). This was done under the guise of wanting a "normal" experience for new users. This was never disclosed to users who would use the frontend.
Meanwhile, the blocklist (which is hosted separately and downloaded by the app when used to avoid instances removing the blocklist for their copy of the frontend) reads like a personal-grievance diary. A lot of people are rightfully really upset that this was done and not disclosed. The creator doubled down and is continuing to add people to the list and showing their whole ass to everyone.
Fuck yeah, I don't want Nazis interacting with me. Also I'm trans and on blahaj.zone, so if I actually get added to the list I'll laugh my ass off at that little piss baby since they'd have to go out of their way to see my comment.
So when others create moderated spaces, don't get mad that others want something nicer.
uh oh, someone's got a stinky diaper! oh wait I'm on blahaj.zone so I'M toxic! quick, shadow-block me on your frontend instead of using the built-in moderation tools or picking an instance that would block me!
That post from the creator reads like a 4chan chud who escaped containment and is mad about their stinky diaper. Honestly, having read some of their little hissy fit about being caught, fuck that friendless asshole.
I get wanting to call the guy a hypocrite if he were actually gay, but he's not? This is the same really lame take I see about transphobes and how they're all secretly trans. It just insinuates being trans is an insult and is a cheap "gotcha" for hypocrisy.
I am trying to understand how yours is any different. You put it right there with child rapist. I guess color me confused.
This reads like undiagnosed sleep apnea to me. You should really talk to your doctor about getting a sleep study done. You don't need to be overweight or anything to be affected by sleep apnea and it can get worse as one gets older. I hope it's nothing too serious/just some fatigue!
Women call out men for the smallest things, like weight. It seems so unfair how men have to deal with this. Also, I'M NOT AN INCEL!!!!!
I wonder what kinds of small things men call out on women. Certainly nothing as small and petty as weight, right?
If I'm being honest with you, I can understand frustration with getting rejected or criticized, most people hate dealing with those feelings. I hope you can find a healthier way to view women and handle rejection in the future. This vent reads as bitter and like something an incel would write.
To be clear, I don't think you are an incel just from this vent. But if I didn't know you and you started talking to me about your racial preferences for women I'd probably end up grouping you in the same "uncomfortable to be around" bucket and try to move on and get away from you at my nearest convenience. So... certainly an incel-adjacent way of viewing partner preferences and rejection I guess?

If you're within 10 blocks of 1 gram of weed they get to shoot you non-lethally and take your children.

Being myself.
Yeah that comment was about you specifically. Sorry you had to find out that way

I get the hate and wanting to insult the guy but why does he have to be secretly gay? Is being gay an insult?
Spooky is the nicest way to put it, but yeah... deep sigh yeah...
Wow dude, they were a medic what the actual fuck is wrong with you.
I have sleep apnea and I don't snore, but ultimately it's your body and health. I hope you're able to get restful sleep!
