However I also don't recommend anything Brave. The company was founded by a homophobe who was previously in charge of Mozilla, but left, because of community pressure.
I'd like to shout out Mull (Firefox based) and Mulch (Chrome based) web browsers. They are basically more secure and private versions of those app and they maintained by the devs of DivestOS which is the privacy Android OS that is recommended for devices that aren't Pixels.

MicroG is what probably is making it work for you. However not everyone uses microG.

Since you're on GNOME you can try pop-shell it's the same tilling GNONE extension PopOS uses and it's out for GNOME 45 too.
