Oh absolutely, I'm not denying any of that. But Stack Overflow is also filled with incredibly snarky people, whose feedback is less than productive. That's why I understand many beginners preferring LLMs over SO. Calling out bad practices is a good thing, but it doesn't mean people should be straight up rude.
Not surprising. Not only is it easier to ask stuff from AI chat bots, the responses on SO can often be so condescending and outright mean that it further drives people to ask questions from the yesmanning LLMs.
This Watkins person sounds like the kind of person who's just so bad at every game she now wants to ruin everyone else's fun. It's a known fact games of all kinds can be good for you in different ways, and having a playful side is often seen as a green flag in most adults too.
Thank you for the response! I did read the other comments your post has received too. While it's fair to assume an account that solely post one specific agenda is a bot or whatever, your specific described situation also makes a lot of sense. Not only that, your responses in the comments are very civil and informative, which I do appreciate. I do hope WMF gets their shit together. A lot of people rely on them.
That was a very interesting read. I hope we get some follow-up on this, and maybe other such reports as well. It does sound highly problematic, and like a very toxic work environment.
When I was a kid, like around 6 years old, we had a game demo disc for PS1 that had a little demo video of this game. I've never seen it irl, but I get a nice little whiplash of nostalgy of everything that disc contained whenever I see it mentioned. Definitely a unique piece of digital history, this game!
I don't use VPNs in general, but I did give Mullvad a try for a month because my friend had been talking about it. It's simple to use and offers pretty much everything you might want from a VPN. They also take privacy VERY seriously. You can literally pay them in cash, if you want literally no digital footprint from your Mullvad purchase. It's pretty neat.
I'll have to mention though, I'm not a big VPN expert, but my experience was positive. I'm sure you'll get more technical answers from other people.

I had to google what XKCD is so I have absolutely no idea whatsoever lmao

Oh I absolutely should start reading usernames here. Didn't notice that...

Most key talent left or was forced out years ago. Ubisoft execs are fucking clueless.
I hope they stay open mindeu
Good. I hope they keep supporting Ukraine.
Does acknowledging a very sad event count as propaganda?
The pedophiles are the ones deciding what to do with the tax dollars, unfortunately
Milk that company for all it's worth. I love it.
A lot of awful AI art
We already have a pretty good LotR MMORPG. Sure it's dated but works fine imo
My demo disc only had a video of the game :( But it had playable demos of many other games!

Oh yes true, I forgot about that! That is pretty huge actually.

My top two are Dota 2 (1520h) and CS 2 (800h), but since I have quit competitive games, I'll mention the third place: I have 598 hours on Fallout 4.
