I actually just got the "You used old.reddit.com you need to log in to view" and decided to see if any more people had adopted Lemmy. It's more active than it was last time I was here, but probably still not active enough to move most casuals.
I'll probably come back for the next couple days and re-build my communities, and see if it can keep my attention, but I'm not holding my breathe.
It's unfortunate that Mastodon has also struggled, I'm glad Bluesky exists as an alternative but it would be nice to see federation more widely adopted by the masses. Maybe in time, with constant growth.
I saw the r/FauxMoi post today about the subreddit being marked sensitive information and de-prioritized by the algorithm and it's clear enshittification is in full swing, so it's just a matter of time before Reddit is mostly abandoned.
This article doesn’t even talk about how Fafnir became a dragon after Loki had killed his brother Otr and gave Fafnir a cursed pouch made of his brother’s hide. It doesn’t even give the real details of how Sigred hid in the dirt under leaves and stabbed out at Fafnir’s belly as he slithered by.
It’s meant to be a cop out! It’s meant to cheapen the story. That’s the point! If he died it would have been a story that was powerful and evoked all of this feeling, but she couldn’t do it to him so she sacrificed the quality of the story to give him a happy ending. It’s supposed to make the audience feel kinda cheated.
Man, Secret War with Nick Fury sending heroes (or in this case maybe skrulls) to infiltrate Latveria against diplomatic policy (maybe as a home on earth instead of suspicion of doom), and it being revealed that Nick had done this AND mind wiped his insurgents. All as a means to introduce DOOM. That would have been an INFINITELY better Bendis script to adapt to this show... Now I'm sad that I've had this thought.

Why are you eating hamburgers at Del TACO! That's why Kobeni is making that face!
That one's a fantasy, a fiction created by our writers. It never happened.
Yeah I didn't expect Dox's plan to be implemented that quickly. I thought they'd spend more time trying to find out what she was up to.
I like this better than Volcano Girls at least.

Otherwise known as "Copacetic" to napsters and limewires everywhere.
This version of pushit!
Trent, Atticus, and Mariqueen laying dead on the floor, room on fire: “This is Fine”
One of my favorite songs ever.
I watched this whole thing. No intention of breaking out gen 3 and doing contests. Watched it anyway.
I was just listening to The Lioness two days ago. Great music to be depressed to.
I hope they add something like Dynamax Adventure that was a great time-sink.
I got a rock

The acting is phenomenal. Sam Jackson, Don Cheadle, Ben Mendelson, Olivia Coleman, Kingsly Benedair, are all excellent.
The story is shite. All the great acting in the world can't overcome that.

My dogs are named Fafnir and Otr after this myth.
