I'm not surprised about them keeping both in the end, but I'm a bit surprised how early it was announced. I would've expected them to explore possible options a bit longer, especially from the point of view of pairing Hülkenberg with a young driver. Seems like they prefer to stick with the safe choice.
Magnussen seemed great next to Schumacher, but Hülkenberg has made him seem underwhelming, especially considering the time Nico had spent outside of Formula 1. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were to replace Magnussen.

My understanding is that their race pace looked quite good in the practices.
That’s a possibility indeed that something would happen at the start. But in a clean race,
I can’t see Lewis or anyone else matching Max’s pace.
