It really depends on what you need: I personally have circa 900 album at the moment, I just use "music/albumfolder" tagging with Picard and using QuodLibet as player. I don't like/have "Various Artists" albums, usually they are bad stuff.
Every time I read this fake ecological motivation I aks myself why people think we can save the planet without some plastic and paper in a little box of human art, instead of considering real problems like big industry procedures and food packaging. Priorities.
It would be fucking awesome. I can totally see others doing this in the future but GOG is the perfect player for selling drm-free physical stuff at the moment. People who think "full digital is the inevitabile future everything" are just sad analysts watching their own garden, we already know PS5 selling datas were manipulated from Sony, people need physical like in any other art medium.
As you can see on doesitplay.org even a lot of PS5 games can be played from disc without major issues, Sony was the last to offer such a great product for players, so sad about the recent announcement...
PS5 is also very valuable since it's the only console with 9th gen 4k games on discs. The site doesitplay.org can tell you when a game is playable from disc without updates.

I can see third party companies for this since Valve is probably the last one who wants you to not buy digital.
The problem with LRG and similar is the limited factor, we don't need another scalper paradise but more prints and aviability.
People still by cds and vinyls, I don't think is fair to compare today with the apex of physical media, an adjustment in numbers is inevitable.
Yes I think we can exclude the old-days mass distribution but I think a more niche physical pc market could potentially be profitable in the future
