I repeatedly stated that I find it very funny and it's perfectly fine to think otherwise.

So it bears a relevance if I also am one who is telling you (in hopefully better condition) go ahead have fun and laugh, it's all that we have.

It leaves the impression of gatekeeping to be honest and being on a morally quite high horse.

I'll give you another example. Something that deeply impressed me. It was a disabled person in a wheelchair asking that jokes please include him and his situation because otherwise that's also just another exclusion in life.

I am also not simply laughing it off. Death is a constant companion. If you're lucky you are not constantly reminded. Better find a good way to accept this when it is required, because it's inevitable.

Yes, I understand it's a comedy show. However three wheels and building up is just a bad idea regarding physics.

Maybe it's because I'm a German and even our office chairs are regulated as they need to have 5 arms at the bottom to minimize risk of injury.

Nope, I've seen to much top gear. 3 wheels (in this form) is a hard no.

I really wanted to respond to this immediately, but I had to gather my thoughts.

In general, I agree. We lost something. But the issue is that in the corporate world the mobiles cannibalized this.

A mobile is capable of gaming, of course. Even leaving download, microtransactions and gacha aside, the controls and the OS are suboptimal regarding this.

Of course mobile fans will say get used to touchscreen (I admire people successfully playing dead cells on there) and you could just pair a controller. Well, partly true.

It massively takes from the just play simplicity especially of consoles. I want it to just work (like putting a game in switch or plugging vr into ps5 vs pc/derivates).

For me the peak was foldable console gaming, GBA SP, Nintendo DS and 3DS (while psp and vita were also great).

We lost the - as op said - pocketability of a console gaming system, all included and hassle free ready to go and just working as is.
