I hear you! Iād like to move out of state at some point & that is one problem thatād weigh a bunch on me.
Goodness, with the Moonstones I recently caught on that I didnāt research what kind of climate it originated from! Happened to me a few times..
Acclimated them to the sun, had emā out there for months and realized there was absolutely no growth whatsoever since I first got them.
I threw them inside about a month ago and itās been blowing up so much! If I left them out I think theyād pretty much be dormant the whole year š
I get a pretty great amount of light year round, I live in Florida, US. I personally hate the heat and blazing sun, but love that these get to take advantage of it!
Iāve been taking care of them for about a year now, last winter I moved them all in during the few nights we had temperatures under 35Ā°F and would move them right back out during the day! Thankfully theyāve all handled it pretty well.
I do have a grow light for a Pink Moonstone I have & the little cuttings I try to grow & return outside!
Yep yep, I like the plain ones a lot! Most of mine are in them, and every now and then Iāve been gifted some ceramic stuff, those I drill holes through!
I think we spoke about the crushed glass before, havenāt we? If not, yes! Been using them to dress up the top of some of the plants.
The ones I used yesterday are a lilā too small for my liking, thinking about taking them out. I do like the color of them though, nervous about them getting on the floor and in my foot š¬
Ahhhh! These look so cool, love how theyāve grown in the newer picture you uploaded. Were the seeds harvested by you by any chance?! About how much time would you say it took to get from planting to the original picture you posted?

Yes! I think they stole the show for me with this bunch. Really excited to spend some time to take pictures soon, especially of the Submammillaris!
