Depends on the docker containers but it's way overkill than you might think.

Since you're starting it may be worth looking into used office PCs like the thinkcentre from Lenovo or other brands(no tiny or ssf since they don't have to room for drives). They often offer good perfomance for the price and the power consumption is not too high.

I'm by far no expert but I spend months of trying and testing pudding keycaps from different manufacturers... At the end I stayed with glorious aura keycaps... PBT caps with different layouts.

For glorious stuff it may worth to wait for a sale at caseking (for germans at least)

Buddy is selfhostig Matrix via Element server suite community edition and using element X on android as well as the normal element app on desktop. Never missed a notification, never

I'm totally on your side about awareness and "you have to check it yourself".

Nobody is telling AI aided projects are bad. Nobody is saying vibe-coded projects are bad.

The problem with vibe-coded projects is, that on average, the code isn't checked by the owner itself. Surely there a some people using AI as aid and check it afterwards but this is sadly only a small proportion.

In my honest opinion, we should not create rules around exceptions.

We're currently in a timeline, where it's hard to tell what is right and what is wrong about AI usage but we have to start somewhere...

So doing nothing is the way? There are useful project created with AI but also a lot of harmful ones.

Even I know, that the bigger part of selfhosters are copy and pasting guides and aren't developer themselve, so why should we not try and at least warn these people?

Nice to see the changes, but may I ask if tagging could be beneficial?

Surely it would help to sort out self promotion, help requests and informational posts.

Also, since we're all in the lemmy-bubble, a lot of people may despise vibe-coded projects, at least it looks/feels like it, so it may be worth tagging project with AI code?

I'm maybe narrow-minded, but please enlighten me^^

Idk about the Lian li ones but a buddy got himself a corsair xenon edge on a deal and he's running it via hdmi. If I remember correctly it just popped up as a screen without any software but you need to double check it!

And I forgot to mention another category: keyboards with displays^^

What price range are we talking about? Depends on money and interests you can choose from something janky like an old phone screen + hdmi mipi adapter or pc case LCD panel (comes often with hdmi) or something completely different like a used second screen...
