Not a game dev or even much of a programmer but this is an excellent debugging postmortem, thanks!
I am a space nerd with a few hundred hours in Kerbal Space Program, however, and your drunk yaw and inertial overshoot intrigue me. It sounds like you have a good grasp on guidance/navigation/control concepts and the math dictating them; good work on those fixes.
How detailed are your ship physics? Looks like you have the essentials; momentum/inertia and accel/velocity/displacement. Do you model center of gravity/mass/inertia as well? Jerk maybe?
Also curious how multi-planetary physics work in a game's physics engine; how many gravity wells do you model at once?
I used to do the same: I would fall asleep to Rings of Saturn in high school. Same deal; more melodic than expected and also untreated AuDHD and bipolar made for a noisy brain.
Goodwill/thrift stores as well, or better yet your local small book store! $20 at Goodwill fills a shopping bag. I'll grab 1 or 2 for me then fill the rest with YA fiction. That ends up in the free little libraries around me as sandbags in the war for literacy!
Dont get me wrong; a therapist is absolutely necessary. Everyone should have a therapist, especially therapists.
In some places/hospital networks a PCP can handle med management. I'd still advise meeting with a psychiatrist for evaluation/diagnosis to provide a more complete understanding of the patient. ADHD has a lot of comorbid conditions and a PCP may lack the specialized education to sort them out.
Stimulants are, in my (and medical professional) opinion, an essential baseline medication for ADHD. They provide a 10% reduction in all causes of death within the ADHD population. There are vanishingly few medications that reduce overall death rate in a population. I'm glad you're on that track!
Are you me? Moved from 3500 pop bumfuck Wisconsin to 3.5m pop Los Angeles at 18. Greatest decision I've ever made, although staying out ended up a harder challenge than I expected due to the aforementioned lack of and hostility toward knowledge and behavioral health care.
Sleepytime Gorilla Museum should be on your list
Of course not!

Check out Others By No One for more modern prog!
Do you a source/more details on the space encyclopedia?
Innovations to the Hungarian opening incoming!
Thank you for translating to Guitarist

I feel judged and seen
Devastated and probably not too far behind you at this point.
Probably because Buckethead is an excellent guitarist and knew his name would provide an unfair advantage.

Therapist will likely be easier/quicker intake but a psychiatrist for diagnostic evaluation and medication management is even more important IMO.
