Listened to this video earlier today. It really got me thinking about how I see other people and their views, and how I am treated as a result of it. While the video itself felt more like a video just reading comments, hearing those comments definitely made me think.
My school had a semi-loose dress code. Polos and button ups and the like. Also hoodies were allowed but what kind was usually based on the person who saw you in it. The one thing that never made sense to me was that girls couldnt show their shoulders. Wasnt an issue with guys, hell in weight training class guys and girls could wear tank tops. But anywhere else, even when school was out, the smallest amount of shoulder could get a girl wrote up. Even as a guy, this shit made no sense. It wasnt like some guy was gonna get aroused by a little shoulder so it didnt make much sense to play that “distracting guys” argument. And almost every teacher enforced this. My friend went on a long winded rant about it to me while waiting on the bus and ever since then its been confusing.
I dont think it matters where its at, dating apps suck. Not because they arent federated, but because realistically, most of the people using it wont get anything out of it. And limiting it to such a space where your userbase isnt the general populace makes it where youll only get a handful of times it may even work at all.
Personally, Im using apollo until it goes dark. After that, Im going to try my best to migrate over, but Im just having a hard time finding my good area. I like it here a lot, but sometimes I just wanna mindlessly scroll and that feels moreso out of place here. Dont get me wrong, I like it here, but its usually more discussion and thought and less so killing time.
I swear PSone was gonna have a similar feature, but there havent been any announcements yet. I doubt sobbie would just let micrasunk one up them like that
