I use a combo of navidrome and feishin too, and i am also very very happy.
I tried out all the web players i could find and found feishin to be the best, mostly for it's ability to multi select stuff in the queue easily and carry out various operations.
I'm really happy with this setup too, i don't use all that funky playlist stuff but it does sound cool and i should have a play. I never got into the spotify way of music so i never really was looking to replace that way. I only really listen to full albums (apart from dance music when i prefer dj created sets/mixes or occasionally playlists by genre). I do make sure i have my genre tag setup right so i can browse by genre as i generally know which genre i want (genres correlate with moods for me) if not exactly which album/band i want to listen to. Only expection to all this is i have a self created genre called Friday Music which is just quite high energy across genre 'yeeaaa work is basically done' music. And if i don't know what to listen to i go for a little silence cos i sure do listen to a lot of music :)
I keep a playlist of albums which are 'to listen to' when it occurs to me i should listen to X again but won't right at that moment, then i build my actual queue from there for the day, but i have noticed feishin has started saving your queue which is really cool, still i don't like my queue too full and there are generally 10 albums or so on my to listen to list, so i'll probably keep this playlist separate.
I have been trying to get into favoriting tracks but i've only managed a few so far and it's not really taken off for me.
Personally i really enjoyed the outer wilds DLC and would really recommend it, yea it's not quite as good as the base game but it's like a self contained puzzle world that is still clearly made in the same style as the base game and if you want more of that type of puzzling you can't really go wrong with it imho.
This is a really good take, i've just been living off friends hand me down hardware and having a great time playing non demanding indie stuff on my 980ti
I have a 980 Ti and it's still suiting my needs perfectly, is there going to be a time when i can't get drivers that'll let me game on linux? Or will some distro always support the 580 drivers? I'm a little confused at this.
I always wait for the first service pack release before i upgrade, 26.04.01, should be out in summer, (but i'll probably move to Debian this time anyway).
I'm very heartened to hear it's inspired you a bit :) please share anything you feel comfortable to! Yea i'm keen to mix some other genres especially old DnB, numetal and disco! I basically only really do old trance and prog house currently. I can imagine like you my interest may ebb and flow, currently it's flowing!
I got my controller xmas of 24 so only just over a year, really been enjoying it so far, teaching myself and trying to create mixes inspired by the old classic mix cd's. Considering trying to find somewhere local that will let me play live as my next step.
Hey thanks! I have started out my journey with the Numark Mixtrack Platinum FX and Mixxx (I'm a linux user). Very happy with both, the mixtrack was a great choice and Mixxx is great software.
I always turn off my pc, it takes maybe as much time to boot as it does for me to walk from the power button to the sofa (it's a living room setup and those 2 things are a metre apart)
I found this artist and some others like them recently, they are really good, they really seem to be making the 'classic' progressive sound that i like (with groove and acid) that i felt got lost somewhere along the line.
Whilst i don't disagree as such it's worth pointing out that in Japan 13th century they were also convinced it was Mappo too.

Yea i do see your point there, i just think i was interested enough to want to figure out the puzzle of that place to look past it.
This game has never quite left my mind after i played it, love it.
