on Cooking Alcohol + Ritalin? · c/adhd · 2 pts · 91d

never even occurred to me not to drink alcohol with my Ritalin. not like I wash the pills down with a beer, but certainly later in the afternoon I'd have a smoke, weed, and a beer or two and everything is fine. why wouldn't you be able to do that?

massively reduced alcohol consumption in my late forties, dropped 20Kg. significantly better for it going into my 50s. probably could do more exercise but I'm 80kg with 32" waist. I'm happy in my body now. 💯 decision time. I've seen friends who made the choice and those who didn't and the difference is stark. one is dead and I didn't think that would start happening to me in my 50s.. RIP Paul

so you know the leaves are poisonous and you should only eat the stem? just checking..

I'm 52, diagnosed last year was a smoker since 16yrs until 40yrs when I stopped when my daughter was born. one of the hardest things I've done. but I also smoke weed and recently got a prescription so that helps. losing tobacco was good for me. now I vape weed to calm my brain down. Keeps the internal dialogue in check, reduces the noise of my own thoughts. now I have Ritalin. it's good. better then tobacco. my advice, don't start nicotine for any reason. it's horrible and so hard to give up as it integrates itself into your every day activities. my ADHD is manageable and I've have multiple coping mechanisms. before smart phones I used post-it notes to remind me. I've always smoked weed since I found out for it calmed my brain. my advice is do whatever works as long as you don't make things harder for yourself. smoking tobacco and using nicotine are not positive solutions in my humble opinion. nor is alcohol some might also argue against weed.. but I know it helps a lot of people. good luck

As someone who has worked IT for 30years, yes I remember windows 3.1 and Novel Netware, there absolutely is an IT magic that surrounds certain professionals. Things just fix themselves after I'm literally standing by their desk. Problem occurs repeatedly for user. Disappears when I get there. I think some people are just incompatible with computers...

I started on this path a year ago. I homebrew beer and it's pretty yummy. Years of drinking a couple of beers a night got me over 100kg. That was my trigger. 1x beer about same as a Mars bar in calories. Stopped drinking weekdays. Only vape weed as a wind down now. Switched to whisky ginger ale on weekends. Buy less snacks Drink more water and tea and stopped having sugar in tea.10x teas a day is a lot of unnecessary sugar. Stopped eating lunch, have miso soup sachets. Breakfast is toast and marmite Dinner is full normal meal My stomach stopped complaining it was hungry, though it helped to have awareness that the hungry feeling is a good feeling and to embrace it as a sign of success. I don't beat myself up for a stumble. Sometimes I snack, sometimes I go out for midweek beers though rarely.

Over a year I dropped 25kg A quarter of my body mass I'm 52 It helps I'm adhd lol and eating has always been an afterthought But the main weight loss came from significantly reducing alcohol Unfortunately I've not made any beer for two years.. so there is a downside lol Anyway.. just my 2c Good luck 👍

good haul 💯 passion fruit look a little under ripe apart from the one on the left. skin should be crinkly and not greenish we have a vine that was proflic last year with over 100 fruits. picked all the windfalls and left a few days to crinkle and they were the sweetest I've ever tasted. had some shop bought ones the other day and they were sour and unappetising.. good effort on growing own food it's the best ❤️

In New Zealand the sun feels like it's stabbing you after 10min in summer. I can feel my skin prickling like tiny fire ants.It doesn't take long to burn here. serious respect for the sun and upper atmosphere
